The Challenge
The client was running a monolithic application on aging on-premise servers with single points of failure. Hardware refresh costs were escalating, disaster recovery was untested, and the team spent 30% of their time on infrastructure firefighting instead of product development.
Our Solution
Maxora executed a phased migration to AWS: we re-platformed the application onto EC2 with Auto Scaling Groups, migrated the database to RDS with zero-downtime replication (DMS), set up a multi-AZ architecture for high availability, and implemented S3 + CloudFront for static assets. All infrastructure was codified with Terraform.
The Result
The migration completed with zero downtime — not a single user-facing outage during cutover. Infrastructure costs dropped 40% compared to the on-prem baseline, disaster recovery RTO improved from 24 hours to 15 minutes, and the team reclaimed 30% of their time previously spent on hardware maintenance.
