The Challenge
The client was using expensive MPLS links between branches with no redundancy. Branch-to-HQ latency averaged 120ms, video conferencing was unreliable, the factory floor's OT network was flat (no segmentation from IT), and adding a new branch took 3+ months of telco procurement.
Our Solution
Maxora designed and deployed a Fortinet SD-WAN solution across all 5 locations: dual ISP with automated failover, application-aware routing for critical traffic (ERP, VoIP), segmented OT/IT networks with firewall zones, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 6 access points for office and warehouse areas, and centralized management via FortiManager.
The Result
Branch-to-HQ latency dropped from 120ms to 45ms (62% reduction). WAN costs decreased 50% by replacing MPLS with broadband + SD-WAN. New branch deployment time shrank from 3 months to 2 weeks. Video conferencing quality improved to enterprise-grade, and OT/IT network segmentation eliminated cross-contamination risks.
